Entering Your Fish

This form allows you to enter the information about your fish. To maintain the integrity and quality of the data we have 3 levels of privacy. This allows you to keep some of the information regarding your catch private. When any of the privacy options are selected, the fields are then color-coded to show their status.

Public option allows anyone to view all the catch details. Green in color.
Semi-private option protects the Lake/River and GPS coordinates fields, allowing only you to view them. Orange in color.
Private option protects several fields, allowing only you to view them. Orange in color.

Searching the Privatized Data
In order to provide optimal search capabilities, some private data will be anonymized and included in the advanced search capabilities. This will allow generalized searches to be performed against the data without exposing your private details.

For example, if you select the Private option for a catch, then the Water Temp field will be marked as private, and nobody but yourself will be able to view the water temp as it relates to your catch. However, if someone were to execute a search to identify all fish caught on jerkbaits at a water temperature between 60 and 68 degrees, then some public information about your fish will be anonymized and included in the search results.
